I have a 99 K1500 suburban 5.7. Driving home from work it died like I turned the key off. Fuel pump is sending fuel but will not fire. Tried spraying starting fluid in throttle body and still will not fire. It has spark because smoke backfired through throttle body. Not sure what to do. No check engine light. Could it be a cam sensor or tps?

No check engine light, key is on,will turn over but not start,even with starting fluid.

We need to check that. The CEL should turn on with the key.

Fuses and relays are good. Only mods are led lights all the way around and a touch screen radio. Drive train is stock

In the morning I'm planning on making a "jumper key" for the computer plug to pull codes if any. I will post codes tomorrow if any.

Tried pulling codes and no check engine light at all. Could it be a bad cpu? I'm going to change the light bulb and try again later. (All dash lights were converted to led'*)
