Finally found a station here in South Fla that sells E85
. Its running about 3.25 a gallon which is wayyyyyyy better than 4.25 for regular. I noticed a slight improvement in performance as well as a slight decrease in economy.... maybe I should try to keep my foot off the floor.... then again maybe not

In my hometown in MO E85 sells for over a dollar cheaper than 87. With the difference in economy on my truck, plus the wear and tear on parts not designed for it (not a Flex truck), it'* not worth the price at all.
Regular economy on my truck is 12-13 mpg around town. E85 puts it in the 6-7 mpg range.

You can figure in the area of a 25% drop in mileage. I suggest doing a little math. You may find it'* not saving you anything, just making you stop at the station more often. When possible, I use E0, and get 2 to 3 miles more per gallon over E10.
the only type of engine i would consider running E85 with is a boosted one. even then, only reason being that for the price of it, it has a ridiculous octane rating. to get the same octane out of a straight gasoline you would be paying significantly more, even with the MPG hit.
ive been wanting to try it since ive got the e85 3500 but the prices have been too close but now that the gas prices are so high the difference is greater. i may try it just to see if the mileage drop is really that bad. not many places around here carry it, which is sad there are two ethanol plants around here.
thats what i want to see, there is a place by work that has it might try that when i fill up this week. all we can get here for regular is e10 and i got it monday for 3.99. cheapest around most places are 4.10 to 4.15. and ive been getting 28-30mpg local 2 lane mostly.
