hey guys. so my blazer has the infernal power rear window. the key switch in the tailgate doesn't work, the motor is on it'* last leg and now the dash switch is cutting out. I'm wanting to switch to a manual crank window and I figure the easiest way would be to just go to a junkyard and get another tailgate with a manual crank. is it hard to just switch gates? the only reason I'm hesitant is my tailgate is in fairly good shape otherwise and if I can't find a red tailgate to match I'll have to shell out to have it painted. would I be better off to replace just the mechanism with a manual one?

well the switch is entirely up to you if you feel like changing the guts and drilling a hole for the crank handle or just swapping the tailgate.Its simple unhook electrical and then pull from trunions
