1994 GMC 2500, 5.7l, 2wd with a blown 4l60e. Looking for options for a swap that can handle towing better. I know the 4l80e will fit with some extra parts and reprogram of the computer. Are there any other options that I can look at?

You should be able to direct drop a 4L65-E in its place.
