350 oil pan replacement question
I am replacing my oil pan on my blazer, i dont know what a part is called that i need to buy. Theres two that go between the bolts and the outside of the pan. I believe its to the pressure of the bolts. One of mine are very rusted out and i dont want to re use it again. Do any of you know what thats called?
1988 Chevy Blazer - TR0000101 Engine ASM-5.7L V8, Part 1 L05V10516
Part # 52 its called a reinforcement
Part # 52 its called a reinforcement
i found it! after about an hour of searching different stuff on google i got lucky and found a ebay posting that was selling the pan with "Oil rail supports" i then googled that and got this! CHEVY 80-85 SMALL BLOCK OIL PAN REINFORCED RAILS - ZINC
I would not go with out them. They help to keep the whole pan tight to the block. They evenly distribute the presure in between the bolts and im not positive but the bolts might not go all the way in with out them.
