Default 2021 GMC Yukon XL AT4

I just took delivery of my new 21 Yukon XL AT4 and everything works great except fot the liftgate. You can push the button on the exterior of the liftgate to open it and it opens fine but if you try to open it any other way you hear 2 beeps and all the lamps flash twice, like something is prohibiting it from opening. Using the remote, the interior button on the overhead console (yes, it is not in the "OFF" position) the "Close" button on the liftgate or even "kicking" the GMC logo light, I always get the 2 beeps and the lamps flashing twice.

I ended up taking it back to the dealer and they are stumped too. From what the technician is telling me, the literature that GM has for the tailgate is incorrect and basically useless to aid in diagnosing the problem.

Has anyone had this issue?

Thank you,

Max

This is a defect with all them? If not trade it for a different one that works correctly.

I'm sorry to hear that the dealership doesn't have the proper documentation and/or the proper documentation isn't available. That having been said, it'* theirs to fix.

Hopefully they aren't telling you that they're giving up and instead are telling you about all of the hurdles they are jumping in order to get your vehicle fixed.

No, they haven't given up yet. I guess they are using another one to try to figure out what the difference is. I was just hoping someone else has had they same experience and would know what the problem is.

Thanks for your replies!

I didn't actually answer your original question:

I bet a few have, but the truck and the feature are both so new that it isn't common knowledge.
