2014 GMC Terrain Fuel Pump Issues - PLEASE HELP
Ok, so I have done 101 things to this car. Granted it'* been an excellent vehicle and currently has 299930 miles, I am needing to extend it'* life a little while longer. Single mom, looking for a job.. I need this car!
So, it needed the camshaft & crankshaft sensors, and accuators. Changed those, as well as gave it a MUCH needed oil change. Then had to replace the high pressure fuel pump. Just replaced that today. It still will not run normal, or stay running. I'm getting codes P0016, P0014, P0089, & P0011. From the research I've done, it'* more than likely the timing chain. Apparently it'* a pretty common issue in these models. I just need to know if there is anything else I can try before ripping it apart to see if it really is the timing chain. Or, is there an easier way to definitely determine it'* the timing chain? Thank you, in advanve, for your help!

Wow! That'* the most miles I've heard of on a Terrain and on a 2.4 . I'm not saying to give up. Engines and vehicles can last a long time with some maintenance. I'm just saying I'm impressed!
P0011 - Cam A over advanced - This doesn't make sense with the [skipped tooth] theory nor with the [stretched chain] theory, if it skipped a tooth then the timing would be retarded, not advanced. If the crank gear skipped enough teeth to end up being advanced, the valves would have hit the pistons and your engine would be dead. More diagnosis is needed.
P0014 - Cam B over advanced - This doesn't make sense with the [skipped tooth] theory nor with the [stretched chain] theory, if it skipped a tooth then the timing would be retarded, not advanced. If the crank gear skipped enough teeth to end up being advanced, the valves would have hit the pistons and your engine would be dead. More diagnosis is needed.
P0016 - Cam versus crank correlation issue - Cam and crank sensors are probably fine if this code appears. The positions of both are seen, being compared, and are too far out of sync and the cam phaser is unable to bring them back into sync. This could be a sign of a stretched timing chain. If it still appears to run more or less okay, then at 299,930 miles I'd say this is likely.
P0089 - Fuel pressure regulator performance - Measured fuel pressure is too far outside of the acceptable range based on the commanded fuel pressure.
Regarding the fuel pressure, if you could read the actual pressure either with a gauge on the fuel rail or through the OBD2 port, that would help us know if that is contributing to the [won't stay running] issue.
Regarding the other three codes, I'd start by finding out (from the PCM) what it thinks the cam timing actually is. That could tell us a little more about the actual problem. Like, does the PCM think they are at X degrees advanced? Are they both equally far off? etc.

Thank you! I got this car about 4 years ago and it had a lot of miles on it already. I've taken the best care of it I can to ensure a long life!
I wanted to keep it running longer than it did so I could get a more accurate reading of the fuel pressure from the OBD2.. I will try again tomorrow. I'm really hoping it'* the sensors/actuators rather than timing.. maybe they're not tight? too tight? not alligned correctly? Idk.. I will keep you posted! Thank you so much for your help!

Scanner reading
I was able to keep it running for a few minutes. I even got it to move out of the driveway before it stalled and then couldn’t get it started again.
the first few pics were before I cleared the codes. 2nd set is after they were cleared.

Codes
I have a video, but it’* 3:20 minutes long and too large to post. Wondering if I can send them privately. I’ll try.
before clearing:
P0650 (I’ve been thinking it meant my check engine light bulb was not working. I read last night that’* not what it means.
P0016
P0228D
P0089
P0106
After clearing:
P0106
P0016
P0014
P0089
P0011
keep in mind, the crankshaft and camshaft sensors and solenoids have been replaced, as well as the fuel rail pressure sensor.
it ran roughish… had to keep feathering the throttle to keep it going. When I attempted to drive it and it stalled, it wouldn’t start again after. Then the battery died and I gave up for a while.
Thank you so much for your advice on this! I’m at a loss of where to keep going. It seems like it could be 101 different things, but what research I’ve done it’* timing.

2,700PSI should be good.

P0089 - Fuel pressure regulator performance - Measured fuel pressure is too far outside of the acceptable range based on the commanded fuel pressure.
P0106 - MAP/Barometric Pressure Circuit Range/Performance Problem. This is probably being triggered by them manifold pressure changing while the engine struggles to run. No corresponding change is being noted at the throttle pedal prior to the manifold pressure change, so it posts this code.
This could all be related to some damaged or corroded wire(*) and/or connector(*) etc., but it could also be something more complex. Next step in my mind is to scan it with a serious scanner and figure out what telemetry the PCM is seeing versus what is expected.
