2011 equinox timing chain

Hello all, I am working on my step daughter's boyfriend's 2011 equinox with a 2.4L "LAF" ecotec. Has anybody done this kind of a job? I had a question about doing it that is a bit technical, and I don't want to waste anybody's time -me writing / y'all reading a long in depth posting if it isn't warranted. So if there is anybody with in depth knowledge of the job, please do yak it up about it. That's all, thanx.
