Default 2006 Chevy Trailblazer LT A/C issue.

I have climate control and I am having problems with it working and not working. I have had the freon checked and replaced a circuit breaker that controls the compressor. Still getting sporadic cool air and warm air. What other things should I check to see what is wrong with it?

You have to be a little more specific with it 'not working'. Is it just the temperature of the air fluctuating? Or?...

When you say you have climate control, are we talking auto temp?

If yes, what happens when you put it in Max or full cold(this overrides auto temp)with blower on high?

By climate control I mean all I have to do is set the temp and if it is hot out I get cold air if it is cold out I get hot air. what is happening is when it is in the cooling mood and it has been blowing cold air it will start blowing warm air and it won't go back to cooling. Let the truck site over nite and when you start it up it will start cooling. My mech and I are baffeled.

Then either your compressor is not running or the temp door is not working...

You say you have cooling and then you don't.....

You should have cooling on MAX, or set for 60F....verify that the compressor is running, and feel the line for cooling.....if those check out, then it it'* the temp door operation.....either the temp door actuator or the control head.....

One way to check the temp door actuator, is go to ECON or VENT mode....this keeps the compressor off....with vehicle at normal operating temp, command full hot...should get 140+ degrees, then command full cool, should get ambient temp.....

You say you have auto temp....do you have dual temp where driver and passenger can set therm own temps? If you do and one side is cool and the other is hot, and they both pass the aforementioned actuator test, then you are low on refrigerant...

Is there a temp sensor that controls the temp door? How much of a job is it to fix either one

Before you go here, did you feel the line going into the firewall for cooling? Was it ice cold?
