Default 2003 Sierra 1500 Denali - Air bag sensors - Advice needed

Hi,

I need to change the air bag sensors on my truck, they are completely corroded.

On the sensors, there is a part number : 15057506. But I cannot be sure they are original since I am the third owner. But I know they worked until a few months ago.

I found them on Amazon made by Dorman, part number 590-202.

Dorman 590-202 Front Impact Sensor, Replacement Parts - Amazon Canada Dorman 590-202 Front Impact Sensor, Replacement Parts - Amazon Canada

But Amazon says they don't fit my vehicule. All the searches I performed gave the same part number. And that is the part that was on my truck.

What do you think ? Is this the right part for my truck or not ?

Thank you guys !

The part number you listed (15057506) is for a 2004 Avalanche on the GM parts sites, but rockauto.com shows it as being for 2003 and 2004.

I would call a dealer or an on-line GM parts source, give them your VIN, and get the correct part number.

This indicates the right part is 15057507 instead of 15057506.

Try to stay away from aftermarket sensors. Replace it with an oem sensor.

If the pins on the sensors are corroded, you might have to replace the harness to them also....
