Default 2002 Silverado survives Fire fight . Is all hope lost, sure hope not.

Basically my awesome and beautiful Chevy Silverado is in need of tender, love, and care. I started collecting cardboard, anyways so somehow, a small piece about 6x6 inches or so, plus there was dry dead leaves stuck underneath muffler area, also noted . Probably make it easier to get hot, "poof". MY BABY..IS ON F🔥IRE . AT a stop light, quickly pull over, yell out loud, can't let my baby burn up, or else, instant Chevy barbecued Silverado sha- Bob.. NOPE! I , and others put it out. THANKS EVERYBODY. So now, dropped tank, all the black ptse quick release fuel lines, and lines going to charcoal filter box, lines only, needs replacement, looking at schematic the vapor system, could be affected? But and most importantly. Where all those lines connect to, names of what lines go here or where? Someone said that'* going to be thousands of dollars to repair. I'd really like to know, did that 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 ruin, me and my Silverado dreams of driving off into the sweetest sunset Miami Beach Florida, has , waiting for us. Anyone know of a solution. I take good with the bad. Thanks 🙏 in Advance.

Fire in my 2002 Silverado 1500 4.8, vortex. Caused damage to all those black ptse quick connect gas lines. Thanks fine, gas filter ok too. Problem is , I need this fixed ASAP. . This truck is my baby and makes me a lotta money. I'm missing my baby. Placing photo of issues. Maybe someone has solved similar problems. Know a shop in Miami Florida? I'd need to have knowledge of where each line hooks into. Better than that.. I'll just pay the fee, to get it done correctly .

My beautiful 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500. Ext. Can., 6.5 ft bed. Aka- my black 🖤 Beauty 😍. Owned for 2 years. 220,232 miles Highway driven. Just had transmission done. In June, $1400. Engine in this Silverado is emaculent in performance. Truck came off dealers lot with \"24" -inch rims & tires. A little rough ride, I love the Lift and high clearance. Drives like a almost new truck. Paid $3,000 grand. Just the way it handles and compliments the road, its priceless. Needs a paint. But, having this

Relaxing with better days for my baby Silverado. About 04/21/22.

this was squirting a small amount of water in something that made a noise sounded like a ssssssssss, sound. Like psssst... Sounds. Anyways it was hidden. Easy fix. Cut off , had enough hose to move up. ✅ Done. No more leak . DIY

The three lines coming off the tank are:
Main fuel supply to engine
Return fuel from engine back to tank
Evap line from charcoal canister.

Whoever said it would costs $$$, is correct. You will need to replace all the vinyl fuel lines, the sending unit, fuel tank and god knows what else.

If you attempt to do this on the cheap, I can almost guarantee you this will happen again.

What Mike said ^^^^^^^

Maybe if you could find a good donor and remove the fuel lines carefully and without bending or stressing them, maybe you could save some money. There'* also the alternative of converting to more traditional barbed metal lines with hoses and clamps etc. as needed. Either way, it needs to be done well by someone with experience or you will end up burning it down the next time.

The tank can come from a good donor as well.

Dorman fuel line repair kit has all the quick connects and nylon line to repair the lines also some barbs to spice any 1/4 or 3/8 size line and convert to nylon. Comes with a few feet of line also. Not sure about replacing sending unit or tank if needed.

Default Repairing lines from tank to engine

Also,I would replace all 3 lines up to past the filter. There is a bracket attached to frame that holds dirt and corrosion lines will likely be leaking soon at that location. Can use nylon all the way to where lines go up to engine. If you want to go a step further look at the MasterCool Hydraulic crimper. It allows crimping quick connect in the steel lines while still on vehicle.
fuel line kit is actually carried by Walmart online now. About $200.
