In my 94 the ac blows cold, the output and blower motor all changes accordingly when you change the setting. But even at high setting it barely blows anything. And you can obscenely hear the blower motor working and pushing air, just hardly comes out of the vents.

I'm assuming actuator doors or maybe a horrible leak in the system? Which I'd have no clue how to check for a leak on it.

I've checked my blower motor and evap core, no debris or anything like that. I feel my only next step is to remove the dash and start operation on the AC system. But once my dash comes off, a lot of it is likely to break due to brittleness and no one I can find seems to make replacement parts for it.

Are you saying that the blower motor works on all speeds, because you can hear it?

Is it only at high speed that flow is bad, or is the flow bad at all speeds?

If bad at all speeds, then I would not remove the dash first, I would remove the blower motor first.......then using a small light, and mirror I would try to see the evaporator fins, to see if there is blockage in front, like debris from leaves, or if dirt is clinging to the fins off the evaporator....

All speeds are bad, but there'* a very noticeable difference in noise between medium and high, with hardly any airflow improvement.


I've removed the cover and checked the evap core itself. I removed the blower motor cover and checked the fan for debris. I have a boroscope camera with a light on the camera so I could use that.

You're saying drop the blower completely and look in there?

For further clarification, when it'* set to low, you almost can't feel any air coming out. Medium setting is softer than low setting on modern vehicles. High setting is about low setting for modern vehicles with the noise of a wind turbine.

Yes, remove the motor and try to see if there is any obstruction to the evaporated core.
