Default 16 Suburban dead @74k

While driving the Suburban it popped in reverse and the transmission is shot. Of course GM will not cover the transmission. I'm taking it to an independent shop to get it rebuilt for $2400. Of course The dealer price was outrageous especially for something they should take responsibility for.

I was feeling shuttering and all they did was flush the trans on two different occasions saying that'* all GM was requiring them to do. Definitely my last GM vehicle. They know they have an issue with there transmissions in these models but will not take ownership and fix it on there dime.

Sorry to hear about this. I haven't heard of this issue with the 6L80 . How many miles were on it when GM last touched it?

On the bright side, $2,400.00 is a great price for an overhaul on one. Sorry, I know that doesn't help a lot, I just would expect it to be more like $4,200.00 .

I haven't either but the issues with the GL80 is well documented with fixes. GM just refuses to acknowledge they have an issue and bite the bullet to correct the problems.

I couldn't give them any more of my money after not owning up and footing the bill. A dead transmission at 75k is crazy but let them explain it, it'* operating normally.
