Default ZZP rear powerlog

I was just browsing through zzp this morning and for the first time noticed that they now offer a powerlog for the rear exhaust manifold. Howerv it says that its only to be used for turbo crossover applications. I was just wondering why that was and would there be any ill affects if someone used it on a non turbo application?

They do sell ported rear manifolds, which would benefit very little. IMO not worth the time or effort. The stock rear manifold is close enough, I'd leave it unless going headers.

That turbo manifold is meant to channel exhaust forward to a Y pipe and into the turbo to spin it. Then out and down. Meaning there'* only the one outlet.

Oooooh ok i gotcha. Yeah i saw that and was confused because it had always been my understanding that the rear manifold on these cars was actually pretty decent. So i couldn't understand why they'd make that. But the turbo explanation makes sense. Thanks bill.

They sell a ported rear to compliment their powerlog as well. It'* a product because there was a demand. IMO it'* a waste of moola..but that'* because I've been around too long and don't like to do extra work for no gains...lol

The rear manifold really isn't worth it. I have a ported rear on the shelf if you really want one. I also have a ported front if you need it. The only advantage to changing the rear is it makes it easier to install headers down the road.

Bolts are not rusted, you have a better idea how to do it, and you have a fresh memory on special words that can be used. And your knuckles should be nice and tough so there should be less bleeding.
