Hey Will,

I remember hearing that the water would have no effect (besides cleaning) on naturally aspirated engines. Is that true? If it has any effect at all this mod is cheap enough to be worth it.

Can you use old fuel injectors to spray water? :?

*waits for the infinate wisdom*

If you had some way to cycle injectors electrically, maybe. But I'm not sure what kind of mist you'd get. You really want a fine spray.

NA would benefit, just not as much.

So is this a replacement for Sea Foam?

Also, would'nt the water sprayed into the engine make its way into the oil and wreak havoc?

Sorry if the questions are silly but im still new to this.

Could I just disconnect my [future] CAI, and spray right into the MAF Body with a water spritzer? I don't know if I want to have water injection just yet.. but I am thinking about it, since I will have the upped compression, and that may be good to have to decrease any detonation I may incur.

Water injection can be very dangerous. The risk of Hydro-locking does exist, but I haven't found too many documented cases of it.

Spraying the right amount of water is not an easy thing. There are very expensive systems out there that vary the water delivery based on injector duty cycle. There are also many different mixes of alcohols used. It'* not something I can teach you here.

MY system is designed for a 50/50 Water/Methanol mix, manually triggered (although I had an automatic system for awhile), at WOT only. I'm using it primarily for it'* intercooling effects for track use.

Bill: After spending 20 minutes just cleaning off the hard carbon on my exhaust ports, I need to know how if the water injection helps any with the exhaust. I never want all this crap sitting on my exhaust ports, just because I know it restricts flow. Is it possible that the water injection can help this at all?

Don't worry about the hydro-lock. That'* no biggie. Just kills the engine, then remove plugs and crank over starter. Nothing that would kill me. Does the 50/50 mix by any chance increase any power? I'll get to reading your post on the water injection.. and see if I have any more questions to bug you with .

5050 will do nothing for you really, and hydrolocking will DESTROY your motor, bud.

Water injection will clean the hard carbon deposits over time, but it depends on how much you use it.
