Default WTF!?!? I Cant beleive this

OK i have a 1994 SE that didnt come with an electronic trunk release. I installed one from GMpartsdirect.com ($17 for actuator, $5 button) and everythings great and good, but there was no preexisting wiring or connectors. I had my dad call the dealer for the connectors to finish the instalation correctly the one for the actuator ALONE was $20 !!!! Thats fricken OUTRAGEOUS for a connector. YOu know how much cheaper we could buy these cars for if they used $1 connectors... :?

Grrr, anyone have a spare one or a part # i can see what i can find online with .. Thanx...

98 should have a fob. My 95 SE had one.
If your trunk button isn't working make sure that the lockout switch in the trunk is turned to the "Off" side. I've accidentally hit that thing more than once and couldnt figure out why my trunk release wasnt working.

The trunk button inside only works when your car is on, and in park. I dunno why, but the fob works all times when it'* in park, on or off.

Thats what it was . I guess I must of hit it when I was in the trunk. Well at least that saves a trip to the dealer & getting it replaced again. But in my '98 when I had it off, the trunk release inside worked.
