FWIW, a friend'* sister had these equipped on her Mercury Cougar. Guess what; she hit a deer and totalled the car. :? The two "whistles" probably ended up embedded in the deer'* abdomen. I can't say they'll work any better than a sharp eye and itchy brake-pedal foot.

Angle matters. Most people buy and mount, never read instructions. On this item I was going to ensure it was correct. Read them and did it properly. Mine worked. I travelled into PA on 80 and 81 for hours and didn't see a single one in the middle of the night. If that isn't good proof, I don't know what would be.

Sorry for the lack of updates, but I've been busy lately (have to pay for this chaos somehow....)
The grand total out the door was $740. It wasn't the A-1 repair I wish I could have gotten, but considering my mechanic had no time on his part, and I had very little budget for him to work with, he did the best that he could, which actually is a lot. The repair list included a new hood, fender, headlight assembly, grill, and repairs to the radiator mount and fan shroud. All the parts needed to be repainted to match, and you can only tell the difference if you've looked at the car before my car'* disagreement with nature as much as I have. I certainly got my money'* worth though.
After pics will be up tomorrow, and probably some before before (pre encounter) pics as well (gotta ***** it out if I can).
