I appreciate the offer but that is too pricey of a winter beater for me (plus it's a Ford :)). I don't have a ton of money to work with so I am just hoping to get something cheap that will at least last me one winter.

Its beyond me why they would..but the digital numbers are sure cool to look at lol.
The old style dial ones are better IMO..less electronic problems..i had a some issues with mine only blowing the AC on the windshield...not effective in 90 degrees LOL

I'm thinking about it. We use a lot of salt here in the Cleveland area in the winter. If I can find a beater under a grand that passes emissions(yeah it stinks) and will get me around to and from work, I will grab it.
