just hit the mode button until the little arrow thing is pointing to the middle of the seat. If the temp you select is higher than the current temp in the car, you'll get warm air.

lol..the only time your centre vents will work is when you lower the temp to Air cond.
I dis-liked that about my 93 as well..as far as heat you have floor heat and windsheild heat.
Winter time..if its cold enough..like up here we can get -30 to -40 F, a 195 thermostat will help, i also used to put cardboard in the grill..anything to help. Winter tires helped out alot, as well as a working ABS system. Change the oil to 5w30 if its going to be below 20 F..the thiner stuff will circulate much better on inital cold start up. Winter washfluid is nice too and winter wipers. Snow brush/scraper in the trunk..lock deicer on hand..working block heater.
Yeah. Im from Alberta!

Does anyone here buy a winter beater instead of exposing their Bonneville to the harsh elements of winter? I am thinking about doing this and have started looking around.

If I had a Rolls Royce I would buy a winter beater.

I'm in the market for a winter beater.. 84-90 VW Golf diesel 5spd. My bonnie means the world to me.. and I want to keep her intact.. and just beat on the golf. And get 40mpg at the same time

I think you have to put it on AUTO and a certain temperature in order for the vent to be on for the olde ECC. I know in 95 they changed it to MODE for your own selection of blower choices.
