What do you guys do about the salt on the roads back there? I'd be wanting to rinse the underneath everyday with a garden hose when I got home.

let it rust.. cuz theres nothing you can do about it int he Salt states.

in Up st NY, the roads turn White/light Grey in the winter.
I try to rinse off my car once a week in the winter, but its hard to do when it 10*F out and the water freezes and you cant get back in the car..

Coldest my car seen was -35 in Fort Drum. Almost didn't want to start that morning, but with some TLC, it finally cranked over.

On my '89, before the delco swap, nope. After, she started up after sitting in -35C all night. It would take a few cranks, but she made it none the less...

We had a really mild winter last winter so my '96 hasn't seen -35 yet. We shall soon find out.

-20?!?! Anything under 10* is unheard of here. But my uncles bonne always fired up every morning, even on 12* mornings.

One night last winter it got down to about -20 and it took longer to crank, but still turned over ok. My tranny was so cold that it was harder to shift into gear if I remember (maybe it was the linkage and not the actual fluid - not sure). The steering was really stiff at first too.

Same here in Indiana. The roads are a constant white/grey color in the winter. There'* not much you can do about the salt when it'* under 35 degrees outside. I guess I'll find out this winter how my Bonnie starts up.
