sorry i didnt catch what you said, what do you mean check the back spacing? you mean the inside of the GP rim?

the back spacing need to be correct the swoopies barely clear the face of the caliper. not thinkin a GP wheel will work for ya

ya try whatever rim your are going to use on and try and spin it to make sure the back of it clears the calipers. just to be on the safe side

Most 17 inch rims wont work on the GXP. I distinctly remember someone trying 17 inch GP wheels and it was a no go. The GXP spare is 17, but designed for the caliper and still like mentioned, only has a credit card thickness of clearance on the caliper.

now lets say i only have a credit card thickness clearance, would that be enough? or am i risking it?

i went to GM today, tried on one of the GP 17" split spoke rims, and they fit
i will have them installed in a week or so, stil sunny outside, unbelievable
