anyone here bought a rear window regulator from ebay? just wondering if i should spend 400 bucks at the gm dealer or get the 50 dollar ebay one?

A friend of mine bought one off eBay. I'm not sure who the seller was, though. He paid around $50 though, I remember that. Anyways, he installed it on his Grand Prix with a bum regulator. He didn't have a problem with it.

The only problem was he sold the car within 6 months of replacing it... So, can't really say how long they last, but it worked great while he had it.

I've bought two of them off of Ebay. They've been good so far. (almost a year on one of them)

There is a company (web site) that refurbs these regulators and they're supposedly better than oem replacements. Do a search here on BC for 00+ window regulators, maybe you'll run across the link to that site.

yep I've bought one...mine was not repairable. (track was bent to hold window up)


so far my ebay one is working great. 80 or 90 bucks is what I paid.
