General GM Chat When starting new posts, please specify YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, ENGINE type, and whatever modifications you have made. Chat about all things GM (and related cars). Off-topic stuff should be in the Lounge, and all Model specific mechanical problems should be posted in the proper forum.

WHY?

ok joe, i have to disagree

(and please, no caps)

if i see what i believe is BS, im going to say it. if everyone just says there "fishing story" and everyone responds with a "good kill:" and a little pat on the back, it gets boring real fast. where is the fun in that. the kill story section is for entertainment. some forums here are serious, about serious problems. but this section is for having fun. its alot more fun to challenge someone'* story, saying that you don't believe it. then have a constructive arguement. Alot of people here agree with some of things i have said, but just didn't want to say it themselves, but im the one that the blame gets put on. maybe because im a younger guy (in 2 months i won't be a teenager! yeah!) ill say what i think and not care if i hurt someones feelings. i don't believe im cruel in anyway, i don't remember calling anyone'* car a POS or anything. but if someone says there 88 Lesabre just took down a brand new v6 camry for example, im going to do this

if your posting on this forum, you should have a car, so you should also be at least 16, most are probably in the 18+ area. 16 is a highschooler. if your that old, you can take some constructive and sometimes not so constructive critisism. as long as it doesn't get personal, i don't see any harm

If BC gets to where we are asking for an e-fighting forum because we all get too immature to handle things like adults then I am LEAVING.

A lot of ppl feel that way, but I doubt Ryan was being serious...to many car forums resort to that...

We're a bit to respectable for that...

Lets put it this way. Until Don or myself changes this:

Our Moderators are better serving you by dealing with the ADMINISTRATIVE, not the disciplinary functions of their job. Anyone who has NOT read the obvious thread at the top of this forum is SOL (no offense, Sol). Everyone who HAS read it, which is probably EVERYONE, will be held to what it says.

If we have to ban members from the forum, or just from this particular area, we will. Our Moderators have expressed some opinions with regards to Kill Stories, and I for one, have enough respect for them to lend an ear. This part of the forum has not been a problem historically, but in the last 6 months it has degraded to the point that it is a thorn in the side of the staff of this forum.

The Kill Stories Forum is now locked for a period of a week, until Don or I unlocks it. During this time, it'* up to the individual members to think about how much they miss it, enjoy it, or could live without it. There will be further 'public' discussion instigated by Don or myself before we unlock it.

When it'* unlocked, things will be a little more POSITIVE and INQUISITIVE rather than NEGATIVE and 'BS' calling, or it will be gone. If you need examples of this type of posting, I invite you to read through the most recent posts, and see how some of us, as opposed to others of us, post here.

At this point, the future of this forum is strictly in the hands of the Administrators of this website.

The content of this post will be copied to a new announcement at the top of Kill Stories and in the NOTICE section.
