Default Why oh Why?

When we got this car, we didn't anticipate all the problems. All I wanted was a car to drive daily. We don't really have the funds to pour into it. Yesterday I was waiting for the light to change, and the engine just shut off. It started right up again. What could be the trouble? :(

Do you have any information for us to go on... we are going to need more beyond, "it stalled"

Does it run smooth? Have you checked vacuum hoses? Do you know if the fuel pressure is good?

I'm sorry all. I appreciate all your replies and generous help, but all I can tell you is that the car shut off with my foot on the brake as I waited for the light to change. My bf can fix most things under the hood of a car, but this is new to both of us. He'* going to check plugs/connections and vacuum hoses and throttle body idle right now.

Ok, my bf says car seems fine. Everything is ok under hood. Idles normally/sounds well. Thinks it might be fuel filter cuz it tried stalling again.

Well, a couple of times it stalled right after turning it on, then the one time at the light was about 15 mins from leaving home.

Hmm,
Doesn't sound like anything major, I'm sure one of our qualified friends here will help with diagnosing the problem.
Don't get discouraged. It sounds like the car has a few bugs that need to be flushed out.
My car had quite a few, and at the time, I wondered what I got myself into. Now that they've been worked out (touch wood) I can honestly say it is a great, reliable car that is perfect for my family, and the Supercharger is a treat for me when the family is not in the car

Stick with it, please give us any updates so your current "challenge" can be exploited and solved.

Adam

Thanks Adam. Trying to do our best. Feeling suckered by seller since he apparently kept from telling us about all these other problems including now that after the first rainstorm since we got the car, the water comes in to the back seat.
