Default Where did you get you K&N

I dont know where i should be looking for K&N cold air kits.
I see cold air kits on ebay for 40-60 dollars but they look kinda shotty
But i went to the store and i see these kits for 125 dollar.

If you got a cold air intake please tell me where you got it and how much i should pay?

Before you reply in this topic again, please click on PROFILE on the top menu bar and add your year and model to your SIGNATURE. We have no idea what engine or body you have.

Buy the rice-pipe at Autozone and throw the filter away.

Buy the K&N RX-4750 filter from www.ajusa.com

Build a heatshield for the filter custom.

If you're not up to the heatshield, buy the DROP-in replacement flat-panel K&N and put it in your stock airbox instead.

An exposed custom intake and cone filter pulling hot air from the engine bay is worse than the stock setup. Ricer'* don't know this. Don't tell them.

Get a FWI kit, seems to be the best bang for the buck. i think they're available at zzperformance.com

INTAKE:
Your best bet would be to go to Autozone or your local parts house and look for the Spectre intake tube for the Honda Civic
Comes in a generic looking plastic case it'* around 35 bucks.
Here'* a link for the tube you need Spectre intake tube

The next thing aould be the filter. www.ajusa.com for the K&N RX-4750.
Quite a few of us have this filter and it would probably be the best one for ya

Coupler to the throttle body can be found here http://www.siliconeintakes.com/reducer.htm
You'll need the 3.75" to 3" reducer.

The best place for the IAT sensor is in the filter. You can either get the IAT harness from www.intense-racing.com. It'* this one..Casper'* Electronics IAT Harness Extender. Or,if you are handy with a soldering gun, just extend the IAT wires to reach the hole in the filte . Which happens to be the best location for it.

Fab up a heat shield and you're good to go

Make sure ya have a good tune up also. it'll help regain some lost power over the years

If he'* an L27 or 92/93 L67 or earlier, a FWI will be a waste of time.

If he'* a 94/95 L67 or newer, or an L36, A FWI would be a good choice IF he adds a splash guard to the inner fender assuming he'* a 92-99.

Why are we discussing this in such depth when we don't even know what he has?

Because he isn't the only one viewing the thread, and it might give others ideas

Wasn't talking to you, dipshit. :P

Anyway, let'* just give this topic a rest for now until the author comes back in and actually tells us what he has.

The FWI advice I gave above regarding the 92-94 L27 and 92/93 L67 is because the throttle plate diameter on those cars is only 2.28".

You're supercharged in an SSE? So we can assume you swapped motors?

Can you put that in your signature by editing your profile?
