AWHILE AGO MY ABS LIGHTS CAME ON FOR NO APPARENT REASON AND HAS BEEN ON EVER SINCE. NOW WHEN I DRIVE THERE IS A LOUD DROANING NOISE COMING FROM THE LEFT TIRE . I TOOK MY MECHANIC FREIND FOR A RIDE WITH ME TO SEE IF HE COULD FIGURE OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, HE SAID IT SOUNDS LIKE THE WHEEL BEARINGS OR THE AXLE IS GOING OUT. I BOUGHT THE WHEEL BEARING ASSYMBLY FROM AUTO ZONE AND ATTEMPTED TO REMOVE AND FIX THE PROBLEM MY SELF ONE FINE SAT. MORNING. BUT FAILED I COULDNT GET THE AXLE NUT OFF I TRIED EVERYTHING TO LOOSEN IT,,ANYWAY I AM PRETTY SURE BY REPLACING THIS IT SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. ie THE DROANING SOUND AND THE ABS LIGHT SINCE THE NEW PART HAS A NEW ABS HARNESS ATTACHED TO IT. BEFORE I TAKE IT TO A MECHANIC TO GET IT FIXED IS THERE ANYONE WHO CAN GIVE ME ANY ADVICE!! :? DEATHRAT?

I'm 99% sure that will fix your problem. I had the same problem when I first bought my car.

You may want to replace the other one as well...just for peace of mind and when one goes, the other is soon to follow.

Do you have the right size socket? Put something through the caliper and the rotor to hold the wheel in place. Use lots of liquid wrench. Get a big long breaker bar.

:P Problem solved! i had my mechanic replace the wheel bearing assymbly and it runs as good as it did before. Also it fixed the problem with the ABS light always being on. hope this will help anyone out there with similar problems!
