I'm OK with that but I know I can help this big boat over 20.
Next step is to make a CAI from the stock airbox. I'm thinking 7" *&B Powerstack cone like I have on the GTP.

A week later and only 1 change has been made so here are the results.
All I did to the car was gut the airbox....completely. I cut EVERYTHING that was inside of the box out and cut the front hole out to the edges of the sides of the box so its inlet is substantially larger now. It is louder at a cold start like a CAI but that doesn't bother me at all.
I got 360 miles from this tank and topped it off with 16.846 gallons for a total of 21.4MPG.
That is a 2.1MPG improvement for $0
I'll give it another week like this to verify the results. Now that I think about it I should have done a few baseline tanks but I'm anxious.
Yeah, you should have done more baseline tanks, especially at highway driving. City driving is going to be so different from day to day depending on the stops you make, and traffic. The change you made may not have had any affect on the mileage. It could vary by 2MPG easily without doing anything different.
