Well I gutted the airbox today. I kept the New Fram filter in for now. Pretty easy really. Tip for those thinking of doing this. Score the outer edge of where you're trying to cut out. When you bend the plastic it will break off at that line.
I'll top her off and drive another week and see if there is an improvement.

Well...lets see, my most recent tank was an avg of 22.9 mpg....so that average works out to be what my car was designed for, 18/28..and well, you can imagine how i drive. Now...imagine if I drove like an old lady..I wonder what kinda average I could achieve...

I never drive "city" driving... my "city" driving is 22 miles with only 4 stop signs and possibly 2 lights if I don't hit them just right. 55mph speedlimit for 18 of those miles. I get 24-25 consistently this time of year. When they change the gas mix for winter it will drop to 20-21. OTR = 31-32 if not driving with a pack of BC nuts.
