Although I would put an hei dist on the truck, the points system is pretty much what made the motor blow in the first place. Points went out, motor jumped around and messed up the mounts, mounts failed and motor shaked so much it blew.

I once had a bright orange all orig 69 firebird convert...had 38k on it it was my brothers when he passed...then inherited it along with everything else....i regret letting t go but the current owner babys it as i did and i can still see it.
