The cupholders suck, but they are still better than the ones in the GTP, driving down the road, and your drink might just decide to dump all of its contents into your lap.

Another thing about the Bonneville is, I wish you could remove the A pillars without breaking them, I have not found a way, I have mutilated a few in the junkyard to try and figure it out.

Hmm, I've never had a reason to remove my A pillars. But now that I know that they can break easily, I'll be wary if I need to remove them.

I can't think of anything else that should have been fixed or included.

the A pillars arnt too bad i have had both mine off before, the clip that is on there is a bad design,

i think that as SSEi has alot of features that the SE guys dont realize if they have never been in one or driven one

My dealership broke the passenger A-pillar when removing it, trying to hunt down and fix a wind-noise leak around the passenger door window. They couldn't fix the wind noise, and left the A-pillar partially off, since the mounting tab broke. I didn't notice it until a week later, made them replace it with a new one that they had to have their body shop color-paint to match the interior. :(

All the cars I've had with power antennas eventually experience power antenna motor failure, so I don't mind my simple, factory "stick" antenna. My carwash always removes it before washing the car.

I like the ideas of rear disc brakes, 17" factory wheels, 60/40 split rear folding seat, and AC vents in a better location -I always freeze my knees in my car. No complaints about back seat temperatures though. Door cupholders do suck, since I have no center console in my SE I have a plastic "center hump" thing with cupholders and areas for pens and sunglasses and stuff.

Really Pat? Yes I know that SSE and SSEi are superior. I still like my SE, it'* nice and simple. I just learned few months ago that the stick antenna was removeable.

And what'* up with the hump through the car, on the floor, it looks like it'* a place for a driveshaft. I think the exhaust runs through that but really is it necessary to make a ugly bulge in the floor? Would have been nice if it was completely flat.

And Bugsi, I have the cheap "center console" too, it'* nice but the gray doesn't quite match up to the factory color.

The hump also adds stiffness to the body.

Hmm interesting JW, I thought you had to do it horizonally, not vertically to add stiffness. Oh yeah I got another one, get rid of the vent window. make it into one piece, that would update the look a lot better or make the vent window have the ability to go down.

Bend a piece of paper. Now fold a hump through the middle, then bend it again so the the bend would be perpendicular to the hump. Which gave more resisitance?

The vent windows are a necessity of door shape. The windows wouldn't go down farr enough if the vent windows were gone. Retracting the front vent windows could be possiblity, but the mechanism would have to complicated to avoid conflicting with the main window mechanism.

Ahhh, I see. I did the paper thing you said, you're right the hump gives more resistance. Thanks for clarifying JW.

So, the door design forced the use of vent windows. Okay I see now. I don't think retracting them is even possible. I'm looking at my pic of beautiful Big Bertha and the vent window is too sharply angled to retract them.
