what is rubbing? what do wheels do when they rub. is it bad? does it affect performance or is it just annoying?

I know for sure PontiacDad has 255'* on his 2000 SSEi, and IIRC so does SilverBullet. They aren't lowered but they don't have any rubbing issues. I also have 255'* and there is no rubbing, but then again I have a G-body.

255'* on 92-99'* will rub unless you modify the wheel well.

In my opinion, go with a narrower tire if you plan to lower the car.

I have 235s and I rub, so 255s would be a bit too close for comfort.
