PUt simply its the best of every world. Its sporty while being conservative. Its fast but controllable. Its comfortable but sturdy. Its a soft ride with great handling. You cant understand it untill you drive one.

1. Released in late 57 as Star Chief Trim line
2. First Pontiac Fuel Injection
3. 58 made into the "Top of the Line" for Pontiac
4. Marketed as Luxury and Performance sedan until 1970
5. Spent early 70'* until rebirth in 88 as Luxury car for Mom and Pop
6. From 88 til 04 Luxury and Performance image again.

Late 50'*-Filmed as a Salt flat/Daytona competitior
Early 60'*-389 with 3 duces: Fireball was the man!!
65-Went Luxury with hot motors
Died as performer after 72. Just luxury
88 Pontiac brought performance back to the Bonnie
92 Started getting serious about competing with the Europeans (Jag, BMW)

What does Bonneville mean?

A Luxury/Performance car for the American Working stiff.
A Saturday nigtht "Special" for the wife.
The all American kid'* first hand me down car from Dad

A dream vehicle for those salt flat runs on the interstate, a Euro beater on the hairpin turns, a "Bestwick Farmer" from red light to red light, a "Fireball" when you're late getting home from a date, a turn your head looker when you put your personal touch to her, and the longest running car production name for Pontiac.

Default A really good car

I believe that the Bonneville signafies a great automobile for people who require a good reliable (suprisingly from Pontiac, being that its my third and BTW BEST Pontiac yet) well rounded car. The saying is true, you get what you pay for. Even though the Bonneville was a popular car it was still steap on pricing. I see why the late Grand Am, and "Sunfart" I mean Sunfire were called disposable cars. Even the new G6, and Grand Prix GXP have NOTHING on the comfort of a Bonneville. My car was sitting in the drive way the other day, and a friend told me "yah I can tell she'* going to be a Classic"
