Agreed. My Mom'* old GA GT had those, and they were horrid in the winter.
Being in Texas, that'* not much of a concern for us.

If you just need something that'* round and rolls, they'd do the job for someone on a budget.

Any possibility to go and see the lot of tires you are interested in?

The RSA'* are not a bad tire it is just that there are better performing tires that would cost the same.

In your situation I would go and look at the tires then bid away. I feel you are using a creative approach to replacing the tires on your car. Good luck.

Each stack is 8 tires. Pick the 4 you want, and sell the other 4 on craigslist or something.
