I once got out of a "speed exhibition" ticket when an idiot campus officer wrote "green Ford Mustang" on the ticket.
(I was driving an aquamarine Chevy Cavalier RS convertible )

Of course, I probably could have beat that rap just by saying, "it was a Cavalier, fer crissakes!"

Hey, maybe Haro should put some Buick Century badges on his car!

I get my Cutlass called a Chevelle all the time. I don't even bother to say anything unless I am in a conversation with the person. If it'* just a quick comment, I just say thanks and move on.

I've been approached by the cops before because a black grand am was stolen in the area that matched the description of my car.

I'm with you! That'* why I prefer the 92-99 body style. You can tell it'* a Bonne right away. The 00+ Bonne'*, GP'* and GA'* look too much alike to me.

Yes, I can tell the difference!!! But I can also see how the casual observer might not.

I got you all beat. Me and some guy were talking about my car for about 30 minutes in the walmart parking lot one day. He seemed to take an interest in it, so I walked him around showing him all of my mods. After we walked all the way around the car he looks at me and asks "So what is that, a Taurus?".

Heeeeere'* your sign.

My 93 SE was called a Buick once. You cant really blame him, they DO look similar from the sides.

You know, my mom once told me she said the Bonnevilles and Grand Ams looks the same. I have NFC how people could confuse the 00+ Bonnes with Grand Ams! They may have some similar styling like the grille area and the black lines through the tails, but if I didn't drive a Bonneville I wouldn't confuse to the two. *sigh*

Every single car manufacturer has cars within their line-up that look like each other though. But that'* the whole point. There should be continuity within a brand'* line-up, that'* how you identify them.

So with that being said, I'd only get really upset if someone called my car a Taurus, Sable, or some other boring sedan.
