What do exhaust tips do for you, except look sweet ? Do they provide any better sound or performance? Has anyone else cut out their back bumper on a 96 model to acommodate dual exhaust w/ tips?

In some rare occasions they can help the exhaust tone. Other than that, its all for bling bling purposes.

Some tips are "resonated" which could affect it, if I'm not mistaken. But I'd say a majority are just for looks.

My 95 has dual tips tucked up under the rear bumper cover. They are just turn downs and they work fine--especially for the sleeper effect.
