OK, what are the chances that I would sell my 89 SSE a year and a half ago and I would find it in the junk yard yesterday where I was looking for other parts?
Funniest thing is that I had a feeling a day or two before that I'd find it there!
It was REALLY sad to see it there...
so much money and time wasted. But, by the odom. the kid I sold it to got 10k out of it before he junked it.
Ok, over the sentimental stuff now.
It is located at a place called Pull A Part in Charlotte NC and if anyone knows that they need a particular part that is still there, I can see about it when I'm back in town. Med red garnet with gray leather. PM me if you have a need! No request is silly. (There is also a fairly stripped 89 or 90 SSE in white with tan leather.)

That must of been very sad to see. I love that Genn SSE'* too.
I once junked a car and a friend of mine got a part off of it the same day I junked it.
They made more of of the part than I got for the car.
What can you do?

This is so true... you just have to love your car and care for it as if it were a member of the family. It really is a member of the family - ya depend on it everyday!
My old car is sitting in a junkyard about 5 miles from my house, about 100 yards away from the Bonneville that I pull parts off of. It'* been sitting in the same spot since we sold it to them and they haven't sold the first part off of it.
My '90 Geo, My '87SE my '83 Chevy are all at my favorite junkyard. I get to see them all the time. The drivetrain is gone from the geo, the Bonne has lost her tranny (at 298K) and front fascia... and rear fascia... and interior... and brakes... and the truck is basically a frame, cab, one fender and the brake lines.
I wish I knew what JY my bonneville went to.
Would be easy to identify.....no carpet but all the seats bolted in. Stickers on the rear window and flush mount bumpers on both ends

Yeah, I really did not want to get rid of any of my old cars 'cause they were all special.
R.I.P. to my 76 Caprice Classic, 76 Electra Limited, 85 Honda Civic, 83 Mazda 626, 89 Bonneville SSE. They all were cheap and served me faithfully for years.
Cheers to them all.
