I had a 2000 GTP..... the only problem I had with mine was a door motor for the climate control. The motor failed, and basically it blew hot air all the time. Had it fixed under warranty though.

depends on how you want to do it. Cheap and short term? Bondo and spray paint. It sits under the plastic so it isn't seen, and hence why is rusts without people knowing. The proper way? Got a welder? Weld in new rocker boxes.

I just ended up buying my Bonne GXP because my '99 GTP blew a trans cooler line and started a nice under hood fire, which is now going to be totaled by insurance. :(

Anyway, car ran 13.7 all day long on about 14psi of boost. Car ran strong as could be, was at 107,645 miles and I'd have driven it another two years or until the thing fell apart. It was my DD and still managed about 19mpg in mixed Chicago driving.

I'm REALLY gonna miss that car!!

I really like the Bonneville, but the N* just lacks that “burst” acceleration! That GTP was one of the most fun cars I’ve had in a long time. Sans the GTO or Camaro because they aren’t DD’*. It took a couple of LS1 powered vehicles and even a new mustang to beat this thing. Otherwise anything else on the street I ran across just got minced up. Nissan 350z’*/Inifiniti G35’*, and even a couple WRX’* (from a roll mind you. I’m not dumb enough to try one from a roll). Just two days before the trans line burst, I raced an’03 GT and was door to door with him the entire race.

Man, I’m gonna miss that car!!
