what causes the seatbelts to lock up?

I know it'* true for some cars, and probably for the Bonnes, that if you pull the belt all the way out, then adjust it back in the gears locks so that it can only get tighter, but not looser. This is for baby car seats, that way they stay at the tightest they can be. Granted, you wouldn't put a car seat in the drivers seat, but I doubt that the drivers seat belt is any different then the rest mechanically.

I'm sure yours locks as well from momentum change. I think the system is made for redunancy between the two concepts..

anyone know the point of the seatbelt mechanism having the pull all the way out then easy lock feature.....I do child safety seats....my sons get strapped in GOOD and tight, and im glad cause hes the only other person allowed to drive my Bonne, hes just got 13 years or so before he gets the keys HEHEHE
