I guess I would have to say all the years have their qualities. It'* all about what you think is good for you. Some want style, some want speed, some both. It'* up to you.

IMO the split grille in the 96-99 is to die for .. it looks soo different compared to all the other bonnevilles.. and the most powerfull L67 is well equipped in there. BonneMeMn .. 15 horsepower is a substancial amount. Regaurdless, it'* 240 horspower compared to 205 , which is a big *** jump..and 35 horsepower.. not 15. However, this entire topic is a bunch of biased ppl lovin' there own which is normal.. Go 96-99!

Hmm...although I'm risking sounding like a total ditz, is that a bad thing? and why?

Because you can't tune how the engine runs easily at all. If i had some mods done, i can pop in a computer chip and get 20 HP, better shifts etc.

Oh Alien.. If i had a choice, i'd get a red 95 SSEi. The 95 got 225 HP not 205. Some chromed torquestars, cleared lights, tail tint, later...

I don't like how in 96 they dumped a lot of things like the tool free headlights, etc.

They started the chrome torque stars in 96. FYI The regular aluminums started in 95. Unless you order some chrome rims for the 92-95.
