for a SSEI as far as power, upgrades 92-99 i dont like the newer body style

The series II is more supported by places like intense and zzp etc. But most of that stuff that you can't get or do to a series I is tranny stuff, but they seem to go down more. I'd probably like a 93 ssei the most, because it has an upgradeable computer, and no resonator....

96. Stick with the 4T60 trans. Just my preference.

If you're going to mod, get the 97 or newer for the 65 series trans. If not, go for 96.

I'm an equal opportunity Bonne lover. My favorite are 92-2003, SSE/SSEi preferrably. I like the 92-95'* sharper edges, but I love the sleek refined 96-99'* smoother lines. The 2000+ are just very nice too, especially the SLE/SSEi'* (I don't like some things about the SE'*). And I like the true dual exhaust of the new SSEi.
