Well here is a Thread I never wanted to Post. now with a vid - Page 4 - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

General GM Chat When starting new posts, please specify YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, ENGINE type, and whatever modifications you have made. Chat about all things GM (and related cars). Off-topic stuff should be in the Lounge, and all Model specific mechanical problems should be posted in the proper forum.

as the oil gets hotter, and more thin, the clearneces start to enlarge, hence the heavy knocking...80w90 oil in there would quiet it up too, for a few minutes..
Here that slapping noise?

...and I just tossed all my L67 rods in the dumpster too

At the VERY least, a new crankshaft (or have your existing one turned if damage to the journal isn't too bad), new rod and main bearings, and new rods on the affected cylinders. I feel your pain...

Yeah buddy it was pretty bad...

And iirc your video sounded a little worse... But close to the same

Guys and Gals the sound you hear is a spinning bearing.. Not good.... Do not start that car anymore if you plan on rebuilding..
