The price wasn't bad, but it was still cheaper at gmpartsdirect. I personally like options of places from which to buy. I also like saving money. Its better that the money stay in my pocket.

I give the moderators, administrators and members here credit for being more than helpful with providing part numbers...even if you aren't exactly sure what the part is called. So, get your part numbers, make your calls, or web searches, and get your best price. If dealing with a person one on one at a dealership, or on the phone is important and worth the extra cost (if there is one) then go that way. Sometimes, cost isn't everything.
Yes I will give it to you tomorrow because I have Jim McKay'* business card at home and will post later. They are ready to do business with us and is more then happy to help us in anyway.

Smooth talk, there.

What we're talking about here is the difference betwen 20 percent and 40 percent. Obviously the 'admins' here use a different kind of math? We're not hammering BigBad, we're just honestly telling him we have a bigger discount than that already.

Don't listen to the Admins. We've only saved THOUSANDS of dollars for our members through honesty and diligence. Not much to speak of.

(That was rather insulting considering our track record here).

Nobody DIS-respected him. Honestly, if he'* going to arrange something like that on behalf of the Forum, checking with an Admin first would be appropriate.

Regardless of that, no disrespect was shown to him, and we simply stated that we have another deal with twice the discount from another dealer.

For your reference in the future, I've assembled the 'Magic Book' of Bonneville part numbers from several sources that span from 1985-2005. I've made that available to every Admin, Moderator, and Gearhead on this Forum with the help of my Co-Admin, jr's3800 who spent hours scanning the pages into digital format after I had the first 6 published at my own expense.

We give this information out for free in order to save money for our valued members. We also are very diligent about warning members when they find sources that are higher priced.

We have never given out a bogus part number. And all you have to do is ask.

Your choice. 20% or 40%. I suggest you DO listen to the Admins, Moderators, and Gearheads on this site. They have their jobs for good reasons.

thank you for your comment, its appreciated. we do have an account with King Pontiac and they have welcomed us with open arms and very happy there is a bonneville club out there. I too like to be able to speak to a real person instead of looking at a part number. hell I cant sometimes remember my own phone number. So in any case 20% or 40% hey lets all combine them and who knows where we may be with it. But I also think if people would take time to talk with Jim Mckay at King Pontiac, he would be able to work out great deals with us and maybe even better then 40%.
