Default Warranty

I just got my warranty from the company today and it specifically says:
"No modifications can be made to this vehicel which would alter it from original Factory/Stock specifications. Provided below is a list of aftermarket modifications which will automatically void your GWC Coverage:
Suspension Lift Kits
Suspension Lowering
Narrowed Rear Axles
Oversized Tires
Undersized Tires
Nitrous Oxide Injection
Hi-Tech Computer Chips
Racing Components
Engine Modification
Towing Packages in excess of G.V.R.W.
Superchargers
Turbochargers
Transmission Shift Kits
Snow Plow or Tow Booms,
Electrical System"

It appears they took all the fun out of owning a car! The only things I can think of that might not void the warranty * performance mods would be U-bend delete, high flow cat, and new muffler or possibly dual exhaust (i know it has no advantages other than looks). Think these would void it?

You can also do a cold air intake along with the exhaust mods.
The chip can be swapped back if you needed to take it in for servicing.
And thens theres all the cosmetic and audio stuff you can do, so no excusses :P

In your case it sounds like you need something that gives big bang, but is reversible in minutes...even if you break down on the road far from home somewhere.

Get yourself a tuner and tune your PCM. Keep a spare stock PCM and a few small tools for swapping PCMs in a box in the trunk.

After your warranty expires, get your physical mods and REALLY go to town with the tuner!

I thought Cold Air Intake would be "Engine Modification" ...maybe not? I didn't think the exhaust would count as engine modification.

I've considered a tuner, just waiting for feedback on a good and afordable one to get. As for keeping a extra stock PCM, I could just use one off any series II engine from a junk yard right?

Warranty says I can't mod the electrical system so aftermarket audio setup is out of the question for not because I'm not going to void my warranty over 4 guage wire, capacitors, amps, speakers, and a new head unit.... Thats all set aside at the moment for after the warrantys up.
