Default Top speed run?

Has anyone ever did a top speed run in their 94-95 SSEi yet on here? I haven't found one yet. I just may do one soon.

A handful of us from 93 to 00 have done 150 plus runs. But we do it in legitimate circumstances. Typically in the desert for me, or on abandoned/closed roads.

FYI, this is pushing the limits of street racing stories. I can tell you that losing a tire weight at 125mph (slowing down through that speed) is a near-death experience. It'* really not worth it. Not unless you pay a very good mechanic to replace everything critical on your car first.

That'* what I meant. I do have a local small airport to do it at. I wouldn't dare do it on a road. I do have Z rated tires on mine, but of course, I may only do like a 100 since I would be afraid to do a 110+ run.

well i know i dont own an SSEi or anything...but i take mine to 110 every once in a while...and it does ok...its a LITTLE fast...but I don't think I would go much faster...I have H rated tires...and my car cant even go 130...but throwing a wheel weight is definitely a concearn...

Beyond the wheel weight, there are any number of little things that can happen to cause issues. Speed is something that deserves much respect and precaution and maintenance should be factored at all times

I made alot of suspension changes due to the way my car reacted at speeds over 130. It'* rock solid up to 145 now, then starts to get light on the front after that.

115 in my SSE, and 121 in my SSEi. 121 was scary due to suspension issues (and unbalanced wheels), and I'll never do that again until I change a lot of my suspension. I haven't even taken it above 90 since.

Age has a profound effect on these cars when you start thinking about high speeds.
