dude, my brother used to "steal" my car whenever he wanted to in the summer because the AC doesn't work in his car, so I got pissed off and started "sabotaging" my own car. There are tons of little things you can do to make sure that nobody else drives your car. Just remove the fuse to the fuel pump, or hell, maybe even something for the starter.

1) Part of sharing the expense ain't just buying gas; she should be doing half of the cleaning and maintenance as well.

2) How in the world did she burn through 3/4 tank of gas in one day just going to a friend'* house and back? Did you find a taxi meter stashed in the glove box, by any chance?

here friends house is pretty far away and they went back and forth a couple of times. umm, 3/4 i guess i was pretty mad, i eggasturated (sp?) it was closer to half a tank. and i got really bad gas mileage outta my car. sry about that.
