Default venting rice vs v8

I go to all the performance shops around here to try to find something aftermarket and all i run to is "id hate to be the one to tell you this son but you just have a business mans car with a little nutts 2 make him feel like a man" or" is it a bonneville type r or a spec v? But the guy behind me is lookin 2 carb out his stock 350, or Lee is wanting a "NOS" system for his Prelude, and there all over him like white on rice. WTF am i in a lose lose situation again? I dont want any kinda respect from these guys that my car has already earned (both rice and but why hate? Im not sayin i win everytime i run, but i also dont lose most of the time, how can i teach em to find our happy medium?

Do you have a track near you? Keep a timeslip in your wallet, and tell them your car is stock. Or tell them about Scott Cook'* 'bad ssei'.

If that doesn't shut them up, they deserve to be ignorant. Laughing at them always works for me.

Most of those fools at those little Rice shops wouldn't know a good car if it smacked em in the back of the head :? Somehow I think I'm going to run into the same issue when I go to cost out my CAI today

The killer funny part of this is the first mod most of them do (besides stickers)....the damn fart-can. And NONE of them realize they're robbing what little torque they have by opening it up too much.

Absolute stupidity, but I like it! When I spank one, or just meet one on the street, I tell them about it. Then walk away laughing.

What a stock 94 SSEi can run maybe mid 15'*?

Why would you call that "little nuts". I would get really pissed at the man over the counter and tell him I'll take whatever he has on the street anyday in heartbeat.

Come to us for performance parts, because no performance shop is gonna care a damn thing for a 3800. I understand your frustration bud.

We are a small community, thats a good thing. Respect is high for eachother because its hard to get it from the rest of the world. I've seen this with the Beretta community as well.

Geez...no respect. I hate that kind of attitude when they're not out on the street where you can hand 'em their own "nutts". I'm sure there are custom shops out there that specialize in domestic cars, and I'm sure there would be more respect there, but how do you find them? I bet there are even some near me because in NH there is less rice and more legitimate muscle (usually domestic and at least 20 years old...rednecks you know ). I'd love to learn the trade and open my own shop one day...domestics only.
