Sorry to hear about you getting whacked again.. it'* insane how much the white cars get whacked...that'* how the curse question stays alive though.

Pretty irritating series of events!
My new truck was hit in a parking lot causing a basketball sized dent in the right rear (a bigger truck I guess). Now we've learned to just park further out and just walk the extra distance. Parking lots are essentially lawless areas of travel and the most dangerous places in the world for your cars trim, glass and sheet metal :( .
Curse of white cars? -- maybe something to it. My last accident -- I was stopped at a red light and our fairly new white "90 Bonneville was rear-ended pretty bad by a pick-up (not a scratch on the pick-up of course -- it was red). A year or two older and the car would have been totaled out. (But that'* when you really appreciate the big car. The crunch never got up to the back seat, where my young daughter was. We were all shaken up a bit, and I only just had a stiff neck for a few weeks.) Later, when my daughter eventually inherited the car, it was stolen and then demolished. Oh well.
Something they teach in the motorcycle classes, is that every vehicle you encounter (moving or not) when riding is a potential threat to your physical safety. I started applying all this and other tips while driving a car -- just to make sure that I remembered to do it on my bike. It'* not fair that you should have to be that careful in a car, but it sounds like you live in an area where you just have to be 110% alert. I lived in a city near you for three years, and I can tell you, the drivers there were the weirdest and most unpredictable of all the places I've ever lived or driven in much (central Florida comes next -- ie -- the "wobblies", (ouch, I'm not to far from that)).
