Your Tach is off boss... Trust me on that...
with the 2.84 gears you should be doing 1450 at about 55... and about 1800-1900 at 70-75.... I was blown away while I was watching my 91 with a scantool... I was doing 46 at 1350-1400rpms
Yes those Taller gears get a little better milage.. We did the math once for what the gearing was and what the engine RPM would be at 100 mph and I think we came up with 2900 Rpms

I have done my 33 at 70mph
if I do 75-76 32 seems to be the magic number.... 80-85 seems to be 29, and well the worst was 26.9 <---- No idea how that happened...

I have always kept it tuned, new filters, wires, plugs once or twice a year, fuel system formula every oil change.... On my way home from my trip a few weeks ago, I did 80 and a bit better, with the AC on, trunk loaded down... I stopped for fuel in SC, and clocked in the high 29'*... The rest of the trip through florida revealed the same... High 29'*...
I usually do better than 29 at almost any given time... 32 is the norm for me... I checked my O2 on the 95 and noticed that its slowing... I had been wondering why my milage was a bit less that it usually it... If I was to drive a dead on 70, I would do 33 no problem..
The above is where my O2 sensor shopping thread started... All of my cars are due...

At 47,000 it could be slowing, but I doubt that it has failed... I think your sensor is a bit on the expensive side... They say the newer ones are supposed to be good for 100,000 miles... I'm not sure that I trust that..
Its your car so thats your choice, If it was my car I personally would replace it... But weather or not it will make a diffrence is another story...

Mine is original and has almost 87,000 freakin miles. I think they are only 90 bucks a piece and theres only 2 of them (1995, haha). At least there isnt 4 like the newer auroras.
