Default The unofficial results to the Unofficial Race...

Well all, finally got a chance to do it. As most of you who know about me already, I am also into Taurus SHO'* and my buddy has one that I helped get him into, and it runs VERY strong, and I have always wanted to pit the blkbeauty against his '91 SHO. For those of you who don't know, the factory times on the SHO for a 0-60MPH shoot is around 6.7 seconds, manual tranny. The Bonnie seems just as fast, on an unofficial count, and so I wanted to compare them.
Well, you see, we both went to see Ironman tonight at the theater, and well, just somehow, purposefully???, managed to catch the same light...

So the light turned green, and we went for it up to 50MPH. Even with the traction on and it in performance mode, I still broke em loose while the the traction control was trying to get me grip , but I still managed to have him by just the nose sprayers on my bumper...

He claims he wasn't all the way into it, but you should have heard it, then again, I did lose traction at the start...

Just another prime example of why you don't give a grown man, 26 years old going on 13, a supercharged toy

There will be an actual standing start drag this summer between the two, before I do any mods, when the track opens, and I will have true time slips. Wheather I win or lose, it'* all in fun... :P

On another note, I should begin building SHO'n'OFF (my 1990 SHO) here soon, needs a motor transplant and at the same time we are looking at putting a T3/T4 Hybrid internally wastegated turbo where the cats currently are...we are estimating through computer for a dyno test of 400+ ponies, up from the factory 220.

Then it is on to bigger and better projects, bringing the Bonnie up from the stock 240 ponies to something that SCREAMS even more...

Just to let you know Street racing stories are VERY frowned upon here.

Expect a Mod/Admin shortly with a padlock.

The proper section (with our policy):

On The Road & At The Track
Post your vacation driving stories, day at the track, breakdowns, safety issues, driving techniques, unique driving conditions, etc. Discuss 1/4 mile and 0-60 times. STREET RACING STORIES ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
Reason? We used to have a section called KILL STORIES. It turned into a BS fest which was bad enough, but it was also causing some of our less-aged members to go out and do really stupid crap. As a result, Kill Stories got killed, and we have a zero-tolerance policy on these types of posts.
