Default Bonneville crash test results/stories please........

I would love to hear stories of how the Bonnie holds up in crashes, and any link that show the crash test results of our cars.....
Do our cars have a good rating? What are their flaws and failures in a crash..

Bonnies seem to be a pretty solid car. My year'* rating were decent, but I know from when I got rear ended that my car is very strong.

For some reason those pics dont make me cry anymore. I think I'm used to seeing Bonnevilles get crushed all the time because GOD DOESN'T LOVE THEM!

I hope the family in that car was alright though.

Also, I noticed that autogiant rated the Bonneville as a "Heavy Passenger Car"

Thats a mean way of saying "Family Sedan" if you ask me. I take offence and shall kick, cry, and pout all day for that! :P

Take a look at that passenger cabin. Virtually untouched. Impressive. Remember the white Bonneville that Tam posted awhile back? Header on the freeway? Passenger cabin untouched on that one, too. And Jeff'* car. Really held up well. He wasn't in it, thank god, but I think he would have been ok. Tough to see these things get mushed, but it'* comforting to know how well they absorb the energy of a crash.

I think the Bonneville is why Jay is still with us. To walk away from a 130mph crash is impressive.

We are NOT invincible. I haven't seen one T-boned yet. Be careful out there. Snow and ice have a tendency to turn you broadside to your attacker.

i crashed mine back in september which is why i haven't been posting since.

i used it for pizza delivery and it held up nicely. then one night me and a friend went to niagara falls and some americans in front of me slammed really hard on their brakes to make a left turn and i didn't catch it in time so i rear-ended them. one place estimates $700 in damage, the other $3500. i'll see if i can get pics.

car now sits in my driveway. it'* probably not worth anything. needs new bumper, hood, radiator supports pulled back into shape and new headlight assy'*. but it still runs.

before the accident it was already scheduled to go in for a tie rod and body work because of the massive amounts of rust.

maybe the wreckers will buy the engine for a decent price, but i think it needs a valve job. currently has 267,000 km on it. was one of the EGR-less ones.

Well, to set the record straight...mine was more of a "wipe out". After the back end got loose, I slid across three lanes of USDA prime blacktop for about 200 yards. Those lovely concrete barrier walls are what ultimately stopped my forward progress, much to the chagrin of my front end.
